Green Energy Boost Smoothie

Seriously one of my favorite smoothies to date! Probably because of all the cacao nibs lol! This one is perfect pre or post workout because of all the essential protein but also such an energy booster (as the name implies!)! Great to bring with you in the morning to help wake up! Keeps you full for quite a while because of all the omegas! Packed with tons of greens to wake up your system!

Ingredients:

  • 3-5 cups greens, washed (I like spinach but kale is great too!)
  • 1-2 cups non-dairy milk (try coconut water too!)
  • 2 tbs hemp seeds
  • 2-3 frozen bananas
  • 2 tbs cacao nibs
  • 1-2 tbs almond butter
  • 1-2 tbs shredded coconut (optional)

Directions:

  1. In a high speed blender, blend greens and almond milk until smooth
  2. Add in hemp seeds and blend for an additional 30 seconds or so
  3. Add the banana, cacao nibs, and almond butter
  4. Blend for 1-2 minutes until completley smooth. Personally I like some bits of unblended cacao nibs but you can blend longer to remove the larger pieces
  5. In the bottom of your glass or cup, pour in the coconut
  6. Add the smoothie on top and enjoy on the go or after a workout!

Veganism doesn't have to be hard, unappetizing, or unhealthy. I here to show people how to make delicious healthy recipes free of many allergens like gluten but with an extra healthy twist. Many of the recipes are completley grain-free, refined sugar-free, oil-free, and made with ingredients that are of course plant based and as close to the whole plant form as possible. There less processed it is, the better. I also write blog posts on living a vegan lifestyle. Veganism isn't just about not eat animals and their byproducts, but also not buying leather or buying cosmetic products from companies who test on animals. I am here to help people on their journey to a life free of cruelty but full of positivity and happiness. I share my vegan story, cruelty free skin care routine, makeup routines, eco-friendly household products, ethical fashion, yoga and meditation, zero waste essentials, how to throw a vegan party, pantry essentials, and so many more!
